Reading Thru the Bible Plan 2025
Once again GMC is going to read through the whole Bible as a church and all are invited to participate. This will be our second year trying to do this as a congregation. And once again we are using the Five Day Bible Reading program (www.fivedaybiblereading.com). Each week there are five different groups of passages that you can read in order to be able to read through the entire Bible this year. Reading the Bible is so important in order to understand God’s plan for our lives. Each day there will be a reading from the Old Testament and a reading from the New Testament. These are somewhat in chronological order (at least as far as the Old Testament is concerned). There are also some Psalms two or three times a week.
Reading together as a church (or as a group in general) helps encourage us and motivate us to be united. And some weeks, we will take what we have read and include it in our morning messages. Knowing that other people in our congregation are getting the same content from the Word of God each week will also help us in our conversations with each other and can spur us to talking more about how God is applying his word into our lives each week.

Or if you want, you can also click on each passage and read it here online. The passages are all linked to an online Bible (Logos) with NIV as the default but you can change that if you want.
As an added bonus, the Five Day Bible Reading program also has a Reader’s companion that has a brief paragraph about each chapter of the Bible that can help you understand a bit more about the passage you are reading for that day. If you would like a printed copy of this guide, you can pick one up at the church. We will printing the selected passage from the companion each month.
