What does it mean to be sanctified according to the Bible?  Well this sermon looks at the name of God which means the Lord who sanctifies you.  We are made holy by this name of God.

God is the commander-in-chief of all the heavenly hosts.  And so this is another name of God denoting how God fights for us.  And find out what famous Bible story best illustrates this goliath point (hint) in this message about Yahweh Tsabaoth.

Yahweh Rophi is translated the Lord who heals.  It is a name that many run to when we are sick.  But the great physician does not just heal the body, he also heals the soul.  And healing the soul is much more important and eternally significant than health and wellbeing.  Explore this name with us in this message.

God knows us on a first name basis.  But did you know that God wants us to know him just as personally and intimately.  God does not want us to call him Sir or Master, but Daddy.  And Yahweh is the Old Testament name that does this.  In over 6800 places this name is used and referenced in just about that many other places, Yahweh speaks of a God who we can know personally on a one on one basis.  Listen for more about this name in this sermon.

Is God there for you?  Does he know you or care about you?  These questions and more are answered in this week's sermon about God's omnipresence (every where).  And God knows you by name.

Names have significance.  This is especially true in the Bible.  They tell of a person's birth or background or temperament or personality or a message from God.  And this is just as true with the names that God uses about himself.  They reveal a bit more about who God is and his character.  And when we know God by name, it has enormous impact on our relationship with him and what he means to us.  This sermon is just the first of many that deal with God's names and the two that we will examine closer are 'Elohim and 'El.
